Karla Wireman, Treasurer

Mrs. Wireman is a licensed Treasurer with the State of Ohio. Her role as treasurer is to serve as Financial Officer and Secretary to the Allen County Educational Service Center Governing Board. Mrs. Wireman has been employed with the district since 1984.

Superintendent, Craig Kupferberg

Craig Kupferberg assumed the position of Superintendent of the Allen County Educational Service Center on August 1, 2018. Prior to this position he served as the Assistant Superintendent for Findlay City Schools for six years, Findlay High School’s Principal for eight years, Cory-Rawson’s High School Principal for nine years, and as a Mathematics Teacher at Lancaster High School for five years and Kings Mills High School for one year. Mr. Kupferberg earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Illinois State University, his master’s in educational administration from the University of Cincinnati, his initial principal’s license from The Ohio University, and his superintendent’s license from the University of Findlay. Mr. Kupferberg is married to Becky who is an Adjunct Professor of English at The University of Findlay. They have three adult sons, the oldest is married and working in business in Columbus; the middle Honorably Discharged as a Captain from the Army where he served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer and currently earning his MBA at the University of Rochester, in Upper State New York; and the youngest a Mechanical Engineer working for Donaldson in Lexington, Kentucky.

Keith Baumgartner, Director of Special Education Services

Keith Baumgartner is the Multiple Disabilities and Great Day Academy (Autism) Special Education Director. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bluffton University and Masters of Arts degree from The University of Findlay in Educational Administration. Keith has spent the last fourteen years as the high school principal and special education officer for Allen East. He also spent the last four of those fourteen years as the preschool supervisor. He spent ten years at Lima Senior as an intervention specialist and assistant coach for football and track. Keith is looking forward to being part of the ESC team and working with students, families, and staff from all of the county schools.

Brad Clark, Director of Gifted/JDC Programs

Brad Clark is the Director of Gifted/JDC programs at the Allen County ESC. He received his
Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University. He received his Master’s Degree
in Educational Administration from the University of Dayton. Prior to coming to the Allen County
ESC, Brad worked as a classroom teacher for 10 years and also served as a principal at Bath
Middle School for 26 years. Brad is married and has four children and three grandchildren. He
looks forward to working with the students and staff involved in the Gifted program as well as
the Juvenile Detention program.

Jennifer Cunningham, Director of ED/Alternative Programs

Jennifer Cunningham is the Director of Pathway to Success Alternative School Program. Her main goal is to see students who commonly struggle in the traditional classroom gain the skills needed to succeed both academically and socially. It is deeply rewarding for Jennifer to watch her students gain the confidence to overcome obstacles and accomplish their academic goals. Jennifer obtained her Associate's Degree from Edison Community College focusing on the field of Pre-K, and then obtained two Bachelor's Degrees from Urbana University focusing on the field of PreK-3 and K-12 Intervention Specialist. Additionally, she earned her Master's Degree in Education from Urbana University. Jennifer has twenty-three years of teaching experience. Before taking the position as Director of Pathway to Success, Jennifer taught at Mac-A-Cheek Learning Center and Pathways to Success working with K-3 students who struggle with academics as well as social-emotional behavioral challenges. Jennifer has loved the experience of teaching and educating young minds. She is excited for this new opportunity and is looking forward to a great year - building relationships with students and parents, working with and supporting her staff, and collaborating with the school districts this program serves.

Amy Recker, Director of Preschool & Related Services

Amy Recker is the Director of Preschool and Related Services. Amy has a Masters in Education and licenses in Early Education of handicapped K-Primary as well as Pre-K and a Principals license, grades PK-6.
